I started this blog back in 2009 (at Blogger) as a way to purge all the shock, awe and frustration I had accumulated – sentiments directed at the world around me and those in charge.

Since then it has changed design, garnered a few followers and helped improve my writing and strengthen my voice.

In my spare time I’m a perpetual student, formally and informally. I also like to repurpose/refinish furniture, travel, photograph the sights and listen to great music and stimulating podcasts.

My hope with The Misanthropic Bird is to open a dialogue with both the like-minded and opposed, and prevent myself from developing an ulcer.
